Gratitude and growth as we leap into the new year

I’m happy to share some great news!

Thanks to your amazing support, we not only reached but exceeded our financial goals for 2023. This is a big deal. It adds fuel to our growth plans and sets a positive tone for the upcoming year.

We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you. Thank you for your unwavering support.

Transitions

We are saying goodbye to three long-time board members: Kim Rathjen, Carol Bomben and Anne Byrne. I want to thank them for their dedication and significant contributions. Onward would not exist without their vision, inspiration and groundbreaking work.

  • Kim was the first president of our board and a key instigator of our work. We are so grateful for her heart for service and tenacity for getting things done.

  • Carol was also a founding member of the board and took on the role of the second board president last year. We are grateful for her relentless commitment to youth, community and service.

  • Anne joined the board right after Onward was formed. She has done amazing work on the Governance Committee, helping us grow.

We are grateful for the leadership of these three women. They’ve made a lasting impact on Onward, our residents and the community we serve.

We’re excited to welcome four new board members: Mark Weber, Paul Carroll, Jim Nelson and Adam Sienkowksi. They bring fresh perspectives and expertise to our board. If you know them, please thank them for stepping up to do this work.

Moving forward

I’m looking forward to the year ahead and the next phase for Onward. Your ongoing support will continue to be important.

Together, we’re making a real difference.

Together, we’re providing safe, stable housing and support for young adults.

Our residents are overcoming challenges and pursuing their goals and dreams.

Cheers to a year full of progress, growth and positive change!
